Privacy notice
Short and plain: this site collects almost no data. Here is what, why, and how to ask me to delete it. If this version differs from the Spanish one, the Spanish version prevails.
Who is responsible
Enrique Bay Benavides, with an address for notices at Río Orinoco 171, int. 206, Col. Del Valle, San Pedro Garza García, N.L., C.P. 66220, México, is responsible for the personal data collected on enriquebay.com. For anything about your data, email hola@enriquebay.com.
What I collect
Reading the site requires no data at all. I only collect personal data in two cases:
- If you email me. Your name, your email address and whatever you tell me in the message.
- If you enter Backstage with a pass I shared with you. Today I only ask for the project name and your pass, and I log the date and time of each attempt. When a space has materials to download, I’ll ask for your name and email to prepare your copy (voluntary) and log which materials you opened or downloaded. I’ll update this notice before that happens.
I don’t collect sensitive data. To know what gets read on the site I use Google Analytics, which records, in aggregate, the pages you visit, where you came from, your approximate city or country and your device type, using identifiers stored in cookies. It doesn’t tell me who you are. I don’t store your IP address or browser details; the hosting provider logs technical data for each visit, such as the IP address, for security and for a limited time.
What I use it for
- Replying to your message.
- Preparing personalized copies of Backstage materials, with your name in the watermark.
- Knowing who viewed each project’s materials, to protect my clients’ information.
- Measuring, in aggregate, which pages and posts get read.
I don’t use your data for advertising, I don’t sell it and I don’t use it for anything this notice doesn’t describe. If that ever changes, I’ll ask for your consent first.
Who I share it with
I don’t transfer your data to third parties without your consent, except where the law allows it. The site and the Backstage log are hosted by Vercel Inc. in the United States, acting as a processor: it stores the information on my behalf and can’t use it for its own purposes. Email runs on Google Workspace. Visit statistics are processed by Google LLC (Google Analytics) in the United States, on my behalf.
How long I keep it
The Backstage log is kept for 12 months and then deleted. Emails are kept as long as needed to follow up with you.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw your consent. Email hola@enriquebay.com with your name, the right you want to exercise and the data it refers to. I’ll ask only for what I need to confirm your identity and reply within the legal deadlines.
Cookies
The site uses one technical cookie to keep your Backstage session open, for up to 72 hours or until you leave, and Google Analytics cookies (_ga and similar) for visit statistics. No advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Some posts include third-party videos or posts, such as YouTube or X; their own policies apply when you play them.
Changes
Any change to this notice is published on this page with its update date.
Authority
If you believe your rights were violated, you can contact Mexico’s Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, the authority for personal data held by private parties under the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
